When Gordy Reimer stepped into the role of president at Hight Logistics, he wasn’t looking for the spotlight—he was looking for the right fit. A long-time logistics industry veteran, Gordy’s journey didn’t begin in a boardroom. It started behind the wheel of a truck, where he first learned what it takes to move goods and keep promises. His career path took him through dispatch, terminal management, warehousing, and executive leadership at several successful transportation companies.
What distinguishes Gordy is his comprehensive understanding of every operational role and his philosophy that effective leaders should have hands-on experience. His connection with Hight Logistics formed at an industry event where founder Rudy Diaz’s vision resonated with him. They shared values of sustainable growth, environmental responsibility, and community-focused business practices.
Now leading Hight’s next chapter, Gordy focuses on sensible growth through strategic electric vehicle implementation, people-supporting technology, and adaptability in a rapidly evolving industry. Despite his executive position, he maintains his ground-level perspective, leading with a straightforward approach: say what you do, do what you say.
Outside the office, Gordy decompresses in the garage, working on motorcycles and supporting local race teams. It’s less about speed and more about precision—something he brings to his work at Hight.
“To work with this new infrastructure, and to take the lead in remodeling the industry with zero-emission vehicles, is exciting,” Frank said. “We can proudly say we’ve helped to set the foundation for this to take place. It’s something most companies would doubt could be done.”
